Item Data pages

To create a Data page for an item XXX, create the Data:XXX page, copy-paste the following into it, and fill in the appropriate fields:

{{select
|name=
|image=
|type=Head Neck Chest Gloves Offhand Shield Weapon Staff Wand Boots Trinket Ring Potion Scroll
|rarity=Common Uncommon Rare Unique
|description=
|value=
|power=
|defense=
|use=
|effect=
|statbuff=
|statdebuff=
|class=Warrior Wizard Both NPC
|crafted=
|craft=
|{{{1|}}}}}

Most of the fields are self-explanatory; for more complex fields:

  • type: choose one of the indicated options, or leave blank if it's a Miscellaneous item.
  • class: choose one of the indicated options.
  • rarity: choose one of the options or leave blank.
  • crafted: set to true or leave blank, indicating that the item is (or is not) made by crafting.
  • craft: set to true or leave blank, indicating that the item is (or is not) used in crafting.

Skill Data pages

To create a Skill page for skill XXX, create the Data:XXX page, copy-paste the following into it, and fill in the appropriate fields:

{{select
|name=
|image=
|type=Passive Instant Attack Defense
|description=
|note=
|effect=
|mpcost=
|power=
|duration=
|class=Warrior Wizard Both NPC RingNPC
|{{{1|}}}}}

Most of the fields are self-explanatory; for more complex fields:

  • image: leave blank if there isn't one (eg ring attacks)
  • type: choose one of the indicated options
  • description: the main description of the skill
  • effect: any effect(s) that will result from using the skill
  • note: italicized text sometimes present indented under the description
  • power: set to a number, or leave blank and include in the notes if the duration depends on other factors or there are multiple effects
  • duration: set to a number, or leave blank and include in the notes if the duration depends on other factors or there are multiple effects
  • class: choose one of the indicated options.

Using Data Pages

After you create a data page you can refer to XXX's attributes by using the Data:XXX page as a template, specifying the name of the field for which you want the value. For example, {{:Data:Delicious Truffle|type}} returns the value of the type field for Delicious Truffles, which is Potion. Notice that it's not quite a normal template invocation, there's an initial colon in the name (i.e., it's {{:Data:Delicious...}} and not {{Data:Delicious...}}).
